Yes, thats how it happened. I got hired on campus and called to visit the company.
I met a guy in the quant group on the visit and asked him about quant positions. So he looked at my resume and told me to contact him.

I don't have any experience, I am trying to finish up my PhD in dynamical systems next May.

Thanks for the tips. I had initially applied through the on-campus recruiting, and I was selected for the financial software developer position after a couple of face to face on campus interviews, which mostly consisted of puzzles/coding questions.

Then I met some people at Bloomberg and I asked them about the quant position, so they scheduled this interview. I am not sure which group it is, but it might be BVAL.
Which group did you talk to ? Any other tips ?
