C++ Programming for Financial Engineering

In the process of study, I really a lot from this course. At first, I had no idea about C++. Through this course, I find computer science is really interesting. TA and other on the forum are really kind. They reply the question in details. I think this course is really rewarding for green hand.

I finished the course yesterday and I would definitely recommend it anyone, who would like to learn basics and more advanced topics of C++ programming.

The course is really worth the price and provides students with a lot of knowledge and skills. After the course participants are familiar with the theory, but above all practical applications of C++ syntax, procedural, object oriented and generic programming, and basics of STL and Boost libraries. What is more, on level 9, we worked with the programs for financial engineering, what enabled us to gain experience from some methods used in the industry.

C++ for Financial Engineering Online Course is so good, because of the forum, which is a mine of information, excellent exercises and meritorious materials from Datasim.

I talked with my friends, who study Computer Science at universities and they really praised the structure of the course and what I learned here. Obviously at the university students learn a wide range of subjects, but regarding only C++, they told that after the course I know as much as them after obtaining a bachelor’s degree.

I enjoyed the time studying the course. I strongly recommend this course to everyone who has background in actuarial science and finance with little knowledge in programming. I am very happy after finishing this course. I believe this is one of the best online C++ courses you can find. You will get a good understanding of basics of c++ and libraries(STL and Boost). TA is so nice, he stays online nearly every day, and will inform you in advance when he too busy to help you. Once he even helped me until 2am, pretty responsible.

The class is presented in a proper way, which include a lot of features in modern c++. The video is not hard to understand but the HW is challenging. Really helpful to improve your programming skills.

I believe the biggest advantage of this course is the forum. You can start a heated discussion with others by simply post a thread. AP and even Daniel himself will join the discussion. Innovation sparks through the discussion.

This class has open the gate of C++ and leave me a solid foundation to deal with challenges in the future. Really glad to be part of Quantnet.

This is a fantastic course for a hands on experience into the basics of c++. For beginners ,especially those who are afraid to deep dive into the turbulent waters of C++ ,this is an excellent resource which motivates one to find out more. The best part is ,the course exposes the student to the motivations behind design choices and implementations in C++.

TA is very helpful and responsive. The materials are very useful and prepare me with the quant finance knowledge. The only thing is that Level 9 was very hard for me since I'm a mac user, but I think I'll switch to windows after accepted into a graduate program.

The overall quality of the course is high and worth the money.
