It means future applicants should prepare their applications much sooner, learning C++ or Python and work on some projects to showcase they are serious about this. A standard application with good grades/GRE won't be competitive anymore.

So far we have around 20 people put on the waitlisted on 3/4/25. 2 out of those got rejected today 3/14 1 got admit There are 16 people with waitlisted status on the Tracker now. Waiting to see how many will convert.
