Hi!

I'm a student of economics in Germany and am very interested in a postgraduate study in finance area, so I'm very glad that i found this forum ;)

Since the structures of education are little bit different here I'm wondering in which age-range students are entering a MFE program over there in the US.

Do most students enter directly after undergraduate study (with Bachelor degree) or do they work some time between or is it even necessary to bring some years of work experiences like in a MBA course?

I really would appreciate to get some insights, how it works over there ;)
Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

I guess irrespective of the age factor, its always nice to have some relevant work ex before coming into the program :-- having said that, there is no requirements (unlike many MBA programs) that you must have worked x number of years before you can apply to the program...

About your age question, it varies a lot.... To give out some numbers, the youngest applicant accepted in the program was 21... In the batch of 2006, I would put the average of full time students to be about 27-28 (based on about 15 full time students) ....

Btw Great to know we are having visitors from Germany :-)
