C++ on a Mac?

Hi all,

Can I take this course using a Mac? I've read that some people suggest using a virtual machine to run C++ code, so I just want to be sure.

Thanks!
Yes, you can either use xcode or use a VM

So I should use Xcode instead of Visual Studio as my editor? Will I run into problems in the course doing that? I think that also means I can use something like CLion as well per a question I asked a few days ago. Sorry for the redundancy, I just don't really know C++ at all and how that has implications on a Mac since I really only use Java.

Edit: In that other thread you mentioned that a lot of the sample code is provided as vs projects. So I am not sure if that still means I can use another IDE and import the vs projects somehow.

Many students have used xcode or other compilers successfully. It may be a bit more work to port over code.
