C++ Online Certificate Students' intro thread

Hi All!

Objective:
Learn C++ and more about computing to enhance MFE applications and also for a career/life pivot. Plan to also take the Pre MFE Math program.
Programming Experience: Python & SQL
Current Work: Capital Markets at BB covering options and other exotic instruments
Intended Pace: As quick as i can without losing out on the knowledge/the 'why' things work

Looking forward to learning and hopefully passing with a distinction.

Hi, I am working for a bank in Quantitative Valuations team and we recently switched our derivatives pricing/ risk sensitivity library from licensed software to opensource software called ORE. The source code of ORE is written in C++ and as such would like gain experience in C++ to extend it further

Objective: Gain C++ knowledge for derivative pricing library development
Programming Experience: R,Python,VBA, SQL
Current work: Risk Modelling/Derivative Pricing at a Bank
Intended Pace: As soon as possible

The course has two modules on Monte Carlo and PDE/FDM option pricing numerics/code which might be useful.
