I am a math-major student at Stony Brook (100th rank on USNews).
My courseload so far includes;
Introduction to Mathematical Proof
Linear Algebra
Advanced Linear Algebra
Calculus 1,2,3
Differential Equations
Real Analysis
Mathematics of Statistics
Probability Theory
Data Analysis
I still have two more semesters ahead of me so I am wondering what math courses would best prepare me for MFE programs.
1. Can you recommend courses outside of math that will be of benefit to me?
2. Would you recommend taking more theory-based pure math classes OR problem-solving based applied math courses?
I am eagerly awaiting your response as I look to register for courses next semester.
