Comparing offer investment bank & hedge fund

Hi all,

Hope you are doing well.

I'm a current MFE student and got 2 full-time offers recently. It's quite hard for me to choose.

The first one is an exotic rates trader position in a top 2nd-tier investment bank. The team is not very large but earns a lot.

The second one is a quant trader position in a hedge fund. It's a growing fund with short history.

The base salary is similar while I don't know about the bonus. It's more stable to work in an investment bank, while it is said that the lifestyle is better in buy side. As a quant trader at least we have skills for other jobs like programming, while to be a trader only requires skill set for trading.

As I didn't have relevant experience before, would you mind giving me some advice, please?

Thanks in advance!
