UCLA MFE Does UCLA MFE require CFA L1 certification before the start of the program?

Hi, I have this question. Since, i saw something similar on the UCLA website but i know people who have gotten into the program without the CFA L1 certification. So is it a mandatory requirement or its a better to have before applying?

I don't think it is a mandatory requirement but yea always better to have it to strengthen your application.

Not mandatory, but they seem to be one of the MFE programs (maybe the only?) that explicitly state interest in students with progress towards earning the CFA Charter. Class profile of 2018 shows 28% of enrolled students with having passed the Level 1 exam of the CFA Program or higher. Hope that helps!
