I am an engineering student just completed 2nd year mechanical engineering in Manipal Institute of Technology(India). It is a fairly reputed institute ranked 27th in the county. I want to switch to a finance field after engineering. I have always had a keen interest in finance, stocks etc. and hence want to switch to a finance career post engineering.
However I have aspirations of going to one of the top ten B schools in the world. Now being 20 I want to know what I can do in the next 2-3 years to build my CV and have a shot at getting into these schools. Also If I have to do 2-3 years of work experience how do I land a job in the finance sector as I have no interest of doing an engineering job. What will be the best option for me? Instead of work experience is there something I can do which will improve my chances? Also what options does Singapore provide. I plan on settling abroad in the future and am very confused at this point please help!
