Dear QuantNet community,
I am considering applying for the MSc in Mathematics and Finance Part-Time course at Imperial College London, Department of Mathematics. I hold 1st class BSc in Applied Mathematics from Baku State University, Azerbaijan, and a lower second-class MSc in Computer Science from Imperial College London. I graduated from Imperial in 2012 and have worked in the tech and finance industries since then.
I have primarily worked as a quantitative developer for the past seven years. Among my most recent achievements was leading quantitative development projects within synthetic equity swaps trading at Goldman Sachs as Vice President in Equities Strats, Global Markets division. I am now a Sr. Quantitative Developer at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the FX Options team.
While I have substantial professional experience, I want to assess whether my previously obtained MSc degree in Computer Science at Imperial could potentially prevent me from pursuing an additional MSc in Mathematics and Finance part-time course at the Department of Mathematics.
Kind regards,
Leo Bastubbe
