Old thread, I know. Just had to put this out there:For anyone taking a first course in advanced calculus I would strongly recommend an Introduction to Analysis -Arthur Mattuck. An absolutely beautiful textbook that can even be used for self-study.This may draw criticism from grad students, but for novices: exceptional. If I had my hands on this book at the beginning of the summer, it would be finished.
