No, you are not the only one. This is more of an individual taste than anything.
Unfortunately, it's hard to tell since how "good" it looks on your computer depends on many thing (browser, OS, screen resolution, font installed).
It would help to have a screenshot and list of things you don't like. Better yet, an example of fonts that you like.
