Hey, im a pre-med major that is technically a humanities major(mainly to be "well rounded") Ive taken physics with calculus, and calculus classes. I now want to go get an MFE degree preferably from a top school. I have a 800q on the GRE, and know some C++ but not from a class. Would appreciate some advice, thanks a lot.

Hey,

Why do you want to get a MFE degree if you are planning to get into a med school ?
or you changed your plans ?

Your GRE quant score is good to show schools. But to me, it says absolutely nothing about how you would do in higher math.

My advice is to take some harder math/physics classes and see how you like them.

For starters, something along the lines of...
1) Differential Equations (ordinary and partial)
2) Complex Analysis
3) Probability (calculus/measure theoretic based)
4) Linear Algebra (I would not even consider this to be advanced, but as you didn't say you had taken it, I went ahead and listed it)

And if you want to get fancy...
1) Real analysis
2) Stochastic Calculus
3) Quantum Mechanics
4) Lagrangian Mechanics

As it happens, these are also the right classes to have under your belt going into an MFE.

Cheers.

I have an undergrad degree in Biology, and I made it into a top MFE program.

... then again I also have a degree in Computer Science as well...

My suggestion is to take a hard programming class or three as well.

But Lyosh... I assume you took more mathy classes than just Mechanics, E&M, and calculus. CS itself is fairly mathy.
