I would be highly obliged if someone could view my profile and make some suggestions on how to pick MFE programs in USA. Should I go higher or lower than my targets ? Thanks in advance.
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a top-tier institute in India (Ranked amongst the top 10 engineering schools in the country). Graduated first class with honors securing 8.6 CGPA out of 10. Class ranking in the top 10%ile.
3 years of experience in credit risk modelling with one of the top 3 credit rating agencies. Experienced in a lot of statistical modelling techniques. Proficient in R, Python, VBA etc.
FRM L1 cleared with top quartiles in all subjects. Registered for CFA L1 and FRM L2 before the world decided to go to hell.
GRE: 166Q, 160V, 4.5 AWA. IELTS: 8.0 band
1 Letter of recommendation from Academic (Head of Department level) and 2 professional (Associate Director level)
Targeting: GATech, UCLA, NCSU, UC
