I'm currently a senior at a us top 50 institution, and I've already submitted the applications to a few MFE programs.
Since it's already late January and I haven't received any offers yet, could anyone give me some advice on what to do next?
Should I apply to other programs or can I just stick to my current choices and wait for the results? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Here is my profile:
Programs Applied: Baruch, Princeton, CMU, Columbia MFE, UCB, Stanford MCF, Cornell FE
Results so far: Declined by Baruch
Major: Math BS
GPA: 3.76
GRE: Q170+V156+AW4.0
Experiences: 1 quant related internship in Shanghai
Relevant Courses:
- Math: Multivariable calculus, Linear Algebra, ODE, PDE, Real Analysis, Probability, Math Statistics, Stochastic Processes, Time Series, Stochastic Calculus
- CS: Python, Algorithms, Machine Learning, NLP, Parallel Computing
- Finance: Financial Statement Analysis, Fixed Income Analysis, Quantitative Investment
Others: FRM Part 1 & 2, CFA L1 cleared, a few coursera certificates
Some of my concerns: I got a B- in stochastic processes and B+ in Real Analysis (got As in all other Math and CS courses)
Thanks!
