Question about MFE

Does a degree in MFE or it's equivalent prepare one for a career, or is it mainly academic? Or a mix of both?

An MFE degree should be a professional degree, preparing you for a career in quantitative finance. About 5% of the people pursuing this degree may end up pursuing doctoral degrees later on.
