Hi there!
I am looking for some advice about which roles there are for someone with my background. I have a Physics degree from a well-known german University and have decided not to pursue a Ph.D. In my master's I have focused on computational physics. I have implemented Quantum Monte Carlo simulations in C++ and did some theoretical work. As Monte Carlo methods are widely used in finance, I thought this could allow me to break into quantitative finance. On the other hand, I have no experience in finance and it looks to me that quantitative research positions do favor PhDs. What type of positions would you look out for? In terms of location, I am favoring Amsterdam
