Hy guys, I was wondering how does a systematic trading desk / automatic trading desk in an IB looks like versus a classic trading desk ? What are the main differences? I was wondering if there were more close to quant desk like just 2 screens no bloomberg.

Perhaps it's a stupide question for most of you but I was wondering...

in my experience:
- algo trading: the room is quieter, more displays, lots of people with thick glasses.
- non-algo: noisier, less monitors, less thick glasses
- muni desk: loud, monitors? no glasses
