Time Series/Econometrics VS Machine Learning/AI at a social science school

For a STEM school, the answer would be the latter. However, I am going to be studying at the LSE, which is heavily focused on economics. I will be choosing between Maths with Data Science (which includes a lot of ML/AI) OR Maths and Economics (which has more econometrics/time series). Considering my school is a social science school, the later has a much better reputation - they don't even offer a straight maths / cs course. With this in mind, what option should I choose?

At the moment, I am only really interested in quant trading. I don't think I would make a strong researcher, nor do I have the funding/interest in pursuing a PHD as of yet (although this may change).
