Transition from a Forex Dealer

I have been offered a role as a forex dealer for a big bank in India. Would this experience be considered favourable when i apply for an MFE program?

The other roles i might get will be in IB or Equity Research or something similar. Those are too far from quantitative role and live markets in my opinion
