U of M recently launched its MS in Quantitative Finance & Risk Management program.

Quantitative Finance and Risk Management | U-M LSA Mathematics

Previously, UM had attempted to create an MS program in Financial Engineering, but this program was discontinued. The new Quantitative Finance & Risk Management program has only been around for a couple of years.

Since UM consistently ranks among the top-10 in just about any subject/field, I was wondering if/when UM's new program will be evaluated by QuantNet and ranked.

I live about 45 minutes from Ann Arbor and could, potentially, qualify for in-state tuition, which is only ~$15,000/year.

It's only a matter of time before UM starts to take a solid position in these rankings. It may not happen soon, but it will happen.

why does it matter? the potential future reputation of the program is largely irrelevant because ppl rarely care about your education background after about 3 years on the job. the current reputation of the program matters the most as it helps open the very first door.
