What is the average age of students at an MFE?

Hi, I just have this question because I might be going to do a Master's degree this year (I am 26) but would like to wait one year. Will I be too old or maybe out of the range of age?

average is about 25-26, highly skewed towards 22-23, mostly kids fresh out of undergrad

Do you think it is useful to have 1-2 years of work experience (in related fields) before the MFE? I will be 22 if I enter the MFE straight out of undergrad...
