Workshop for CUNY faculty/students: High Performance Computing Using Graphics Processor Units
Folks:
At the end of March we will be hosting a workshop on High Performance Computing Using Graphics Processor Units in collaboration with the CUNY High Performance Computing Center. Here is a bit of description:
Funded by the National Science Foundation, CUNY’s new HPC system utilizes general purpose graphics processing units (GPU) for extremely fast floating point calculations and has a peak performance a 100 teraflops. The NVidia GPUs are programmable with C, Fortran, and CUDA. The two-day workshop is scheduled during Spring break and will be held at the Wasserman Trading Floor, The Subotnick Center, Baruch College (151 East 25th St, near Lexington Avenue, Manhattan). Topics for Day 1 include:
* GPU’s in High Performance Computing
* GPU architecture
* CUDA programming on GPUs
* Hands on exercises
At this time the workshop attendance is limited to CUNY faculty, staff and students.
Please e-mail me at richard.holowczak@baruch.cuny.edu if you are interested in attending.
Cheers,
Prof. H.
