There are 25 admits on the Tracker for 2025 and only 2 marking Enrolled so I guess people still waiting for other decision to commit.

Hey @Bjorn Thor Stefansson I have seen people recommend joining a public speaking club like Toastmasters. Any specific resources or websites you would recommend?

Last year, they sent offer to 155 applicants out of 1473 applicants. This year, we already have 25 admits out of 67 members on our Tracker. This is an astounding number because while only account for 4.5% of last year applicant numbers, we have 1/6 of last year admit.

Another week and the number of pending is still at 42. We only account for a fraction of the actual applicant pool so I imagine there are hundreds of applicants still pending at this point.

In life, the best lesson is from someone's mistake and failure, not from someone's success. So thank you for sharing your story. What would you do differently to avoid your mistake?

Yes, TU Munich is a good school with a good placement record. Tuition is low compared to UK. UK is still a main financial center in Europe. Plenty of jobs but you may want to get into the few top programs there.

Given the time and effort, this does not have a good ROI. Many successful applicants do not have CFA or FRM. I would suggest spending the time to get certified on C++ or Python, build project, get good GRE, TOEFL and many other tasks.

This is not scientific but some ideas. The program admits over 200 applicants every year for the past few years. Based on 2024 Tracker data, 21 got admitted and the 2025 got only 13 admits so far. Both years have the same numbers of applications on the tracker (25). Admission offers came out as...

This thread is another helpful advice for MFE applicants. Many applicants with strong score but did not get into top programs due to overlooking these preventable mistakes. Remember you are marketing yourself to the program not the other way around.

They still do. Some others too (UIUC MFE, UNC Charlotte, NYU Tandon, Lehigh MFE just to name a few). It's good marketing to use important metric like rankings (see USNews rankings) but when the rankings are clearly bogus as to laughable, it may have the opposite effect.

By the way, there is status prefixes on the top of each page showing how many applications still pending, waitlisted, etc. Clicking on each of them will take you to the filtered search result page. It's refreshed as people update their trackers.

This is a valid concern given the uncertainty with this administration. Visa interviews are booked months in advance and people have to travel far for available spots.

There is little available information for the program so it's a worrying sign. There are other programs in the UK that you should aim for. Getting a job out of the average UK programs is a challenge, at least according to what I have seen. I would try to get into a program on our UK rankings.

Yeap. UK programs seem to have no deadline and people can apply as late as before Sept. this makes for a long period of anxiety.
