As admission decisions start to come in, let's get a tradition going here so we can share the programs we applied, the admits/rejects we received and the program we are ultimately joining.
Let's keep the format uniform and discussions on their separate programs threads. Please share details on each application timeline on the Tracker.
Below is an example.

Admits: MIT MFin, NYU Tandon MFE, CMU MSCF with 20K scholarship, NYU FinMath
Rejects: Baruch MFE, UCB MFE, Princeton MFin
Pending: Rutgers
Joining: CMU MSCF

Admits: Columbia MFE, Cornell MFE, UChicago MSFM
Rejects: Princeton MFin, CMU MSCF
Pending: NYU MathFin
Joining: Columbia MFE

Planning to go through Shreve's stochastic and Boyd's convex opt, as well as Quantnet's C++ intro course before starting (been a while since I learned OOP, and I mostly worked with Java back then). Hopefully that'd give me a solid foundation for my first semester in the MFE program and allow me to spare more time/energy on recruiting.

Looking forward to meeting the others who'll be joining Columbia's MFE (and also other programs), hope we get the chance to meet once I've moved there.

Edit: changed MSFE to MFE to avoid confusion.
