Columbia MFE Anything from 2024 Columbia MFE?

I'm very surprised that they actually told you that, given how everyone just gets the same copy-paste response when asking about admissions process/timeline.

Also, it would mean that they just opened my application today if what you/they said was true and I wonder how many apps are left to be reviewed in the pool.
I called them instead of emailing them that's why I got a different response. They also said applications go through a first review round too. I asked the same question you just did, "if everyone goes through faculty review and I don't have the current status header, does that mean my application hasn't been reviewed yet?" -- they couldn't answer... This was a long time ago too.

Lol, maybe calling made a difference. Not pointing to the program itself, but at this point the admissions is a joke.

I emailed them and I got the "your application is still under review", but I still don't have the Current Status header. I guess there's nothing to do but wait if they're still getting to new applications at this point.

My guess is that they probably forgot about many applications or have misplaced them somehow.
It would be "interesting" if classes begin and they are still reviewing applications given their pace haha. Sadly even if we get an admit now, we will be missing the boot camp that is part of the program in June...

Isn’t it in July?

Wouldn't wait-listing students mean they've already offered enough admissions to fill the Fall 2024 batch? What's the point of reviewing more applications?
Your thought process makes sense. However, given the context of the delay, I believe they used the waitlist to get more time to review applications and see who is still interested in the program.
