Can you please let me know where did you find the 125k figure?
From what I could gather based on Columbia's website as well as from QuantNet forum, the total tuition fees is ~85k, which is in ballpark to other programs as well. I know living costs are a lot more in NYC, but in terms of just college tuition and admin fees, it seems the program isn't a whole lot more expensive than other programs.
