Hello,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
My academic profile:

Degree: BA, Economics
Overall GPA: 2.2

Work Experience: Fund Accountant, MBS Modeling Analyst, Pricing Manager in a Loan Trading Firm (now). Total of 7.5 years of experience.

Considering the above info, in order for me get an admission into any masters programs, I, either, have to take a ton of courses(most likely repeat) or take GRE subject tests(Math and Econ). Any thoughts?

Question 2: For anyone who got in with bad GPAs (not passing judgment), how did you make your application and resume desirable for the program you are applying to?

I am interested in Baruch and other FE programs. Considering the Baruch's acceptance drop to 11% for 2008, I am rethinking of a strategy that would work.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

My recommendation is to take the ton of courses (Maths), unless you received A's in those courses. The GRE general test will be required, so you have to do well on that, but I would not waste time on the subject test. Performing well in advanced math courses will demonstrate you have both the desire and potential to succeed in an MFE program.
