Hey guys,

A question about Probability Prereq. I did not get a good grade for my probability class in college, but passed the P/1 Probability for actuarial exam, would that help? Also the actuarial exam M/3 Financial Economics covers the Black–Scholes theory, which I understand is part of the MFE curriculum, would that be something to mention in an application? And if it does, where should I report it since there is no resume submission option for Baruch College.

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I suspect you will still be required to take some sort of probability course. Baruch offers a PRE-MFE probability course next month. Why not apply? Either-way, there will be a live chat with the Baruch MFE director tomorrow on Quantnet. I suggest you ask him yourself then.

I know that program. But I'm currently a fulltime student outside tri-state area, there's no way I can travel back and forth that often.

It is Jan 20 according to my list

Andy, I did already RSVP for the live chat, but I'm afraid by 1/20 the spots will be all taken. I don't mind coming in town for class if it's Friday or weekends, but the current two classes are offered during Tuesday and Wed. night respectively. So there's absolutely no room for online (except for C++) or weekends arrangement for non tri-state residents?

While Exam P/1 is helpful, it does not concentrate whatsoever on theory (not measure theoretic). The Baruch classes are very theoretical.
