Excellent news, indeed! While our students very rarely miss the first round of the H1-B visa lottery, having the STEM extension for them is very useful, and having it at 36 months makes things even better.
 
Great news for MFE graduates. Beginning May 10, international students earning degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields in the United States will now be eligible to stay for three years of on-the-job training. This is 7 months longer than the current OPT rule.

This will effectively allow MFE graduates more chances to apply for H1-B visa.
