I ve been placed in the wait list at Boston. Can anyone share info on waitlist candidates who receive admits.
What is the probability that waitlisted candidates receive an admission offer.

I also have been placed on waitlist, I mailed then about giving results as early as possible, but no positive response. Please, anyone, by when this waitlist decision will be given and what is the probability of getting an admit?

It's going to be a long wait. Check out the Tracker for timelines of last year.
They gave out 170 admits last year and got 68 enrolled so if you are waitlisted, you will have to wait for those admitted to accept/turndown their offer.

Quantnet rankings show Boston MSMF better ranked than Rutgers MQF. But on some forums people rated Rutgers MQF bette than Boston MSMF.

This year BU includes interviews in the online application. There is a video essay section which is equal to an interview. Hope this helps.

No video interviews are required for the applications for the MSMF program at BU. Does anyone know any sample questions for the video essay

I remember somewhere on the program website it is mentioned that for the 3 (I think) video essays, you essentially will have prompts generated on the spot and you’ll have some amount of time (less than 3 minutes if memory serves) to formulate and then provide a response. I believe BU is one of the only programs to conduct video essays in this way, though there could be some programs that I haven’t looked carefully at that do as well.

Do you know any sample questions that are likely to be asked in the video essay?

No, I do not, though I assume they would be of similar flavor to other schools. I think if you’ve done the heavy lifting with respect to other aspects of your application, you should be able to generate responses on the spot w/o knowing in advance potential prompts.

Which program at Columbia are you referring to? To my knowledge, neither the MAFN nor the MFE have a video essay component as part of the application, perhaps you are referring to the invitational interview for the MFE.

If you read this, are on the waitlist and interested, it will help if you confirm by an email to Admissions that you are still interested. If you did not supply your Winter/Spring 2023 courses, you can send the additional information with your email to Admissions.
