No deadline. Have you received any timeline to complete it?

May I ask what is your deadline to complete all the courses and also if you received another invitation for an interview?

It is quite confusing for me because some people received a wait least status with a guarantee for the 2023 class, does that mean that these people have a priority over people like us?

I am in the same boat as you @RahulRaj and @Rambam. Are you registering for the pre-program? While the pre-program definitely helps me better prepared, the $6000 and significant amount of time seem like a huge investment in the midst of other items on the checklist.
@RahulRaj any luck with the inexpensive alternatives?

Hello @haemoglobin, I think that even if I don't get an answer by then, I will still register for Python/C++ pre-program, for math and stat I will see,
regarding the alternative, I don't think that it applies to pre-program but more to prep list.

I'd like to learn about the required courses for the MFE program. I come from a finance background, so I have not taken a lot of courses on the requirement list. I am most confused with the python and machine learning courses(I have not taken any of these classes at school). Does the list mean I need three classes for each?

Congratulations on receiving offers from Berkley. You probably would be about to start your MFE at Haas.

I had a question regarding the pre-program courses offered by Berkley.
Are these courses compulsory for all the MFE offer holders? With Quantnet C++ or Python certificates, can we get an exemption on the pre-program courses?

Hello. I have been put on a waitlist on UC Berkeley MFE.(I have been asked to complete few requirements). What are the conversion rates from waitlist to accepted? Is there anything that I can do to improve my chances(apart from completing the prerequisites)?

Can you tell if they have any specific requirements they want you to complete or are these basically general prerequisites? Also, when did you apply and interview?

There is a long list of requirements mentioned by the adcom. Not sure if they are specific or general. I had applied at round 1 deadline. I have not had any interviews.

From what I have read and heard, you have quite good chances on your admit provided that you complete the requirements first. Don't worry there'll be an interview after it. They take the requirements into consideration very carefully and follow up on the students. I suggest you complete them religiously.

Wait, don't they need an interview for admission before? Then they follow up on the list, is that not correct?

I guess they'll first follow up on the list and then the interview will be taken for admission decision.

I did apply but my overall application isn't complete according to the portal, therefore, hasn't been considered yet.

Regarding the pre-program courses they offer - do you have to take them? Is there anyone who doesn't have to take them or was able to provide them with information to opt-out of them?

I had a chat with a Haas Alumnus, who told me that no one in his class had opted out of the pre-program courses to the best of his knowledge.
